Unlike more "open" maps like Massacre, Silence is pretty much a map that may bring to mind the "wonderland" that you can get at the pet store for your pet hamster. It is filled with plenty of tricky ramps - don't fall off! - that can make firing at enemy tanks slightly difficult since the angle of your turret will be quite slanted as a result. However, if you're a master at navigating the inclined surface while firing, ramps will prove to be a critical way for you to reach higher grounds.
Not to mention, true to its industrial complex-theme, the map offers a lot of ambush-perfect spots, such as behind walls and at the corner of buildings, which close-ranged tanks that pack a punch like the Firebird or the Hammer can camp at. Unwitting tanks will simply drive right into your trap and if they try to escape, and that's a pretty sure thing, you can then give chase and perhaps even ram into them so you can flip their tank over or push them down the ramps.
There is also a tunnel that’s perfect for tanks with the Ricochet turret to defend or attack. The tunnel leads to the platform that’s one ramp away from the blue team’s flag and is perfect for players on the red team to flank blue team players who are camping near the external ramps.
If you are playing the “Capture the Flag” mode on this map, you’ll find that this map may provide a slight unfair advantage for the blue team since their flag is located in a much easily defendable site, despite the many paths red team players could take to attack the blue team. However, with good players, team coordination and making full use of the many paths available, it is still possible for players on the red team to emerge triumph.
