If you’re looking for a map in Tanki X that’s simplistic in its design and still offers plenty of challenge, the Sandbox map is definitely the one you seek!
The map is consisted of a pretty flat and open area with a massive, square-shaped platform in the middle. If the match is a “Capture the Flag (CTF)” mode, each team’s flags will be placed at both ends of the map, diagonally apart from one another.
The platform itself isn’t embellished with too many objects either with the exception of a smattering of walls that are erected at certain strategic locations on the platform and a damaged tower on one of the corners of the platform. Of course, there are 4 ramps – one on each side – that lead up to the platform.
The space of land between the platform and the edges of the map is simply covered in brush and grasses, making it a too open area for close-ranged tanks to drive through – they will probably be shot to bits before they could reach the other side. Instead, short-ranged tanks are actually encouraged to use the platform and maximize the use of the run-down walls to ambush enemy tanks and to make a beeline for the flag of the opposing team.
This map is particularly suited for players who are new to the game as they will be able to learn how to maximize the combat efficiency and range of their chosen tanks based on the type of terrain.
